Remember I said before that I was told in August that because I didn’t return a paper to them in July that at the beginning of September I would not longer receive Medicaid paying for the Part B of my Medicare and the only way to resolve that was to reapply of Medicaid over the phone. Which I did and got no reply!
Then I had an appeal hearing in December and didn’t reason the decision on that till early January which I was told that I still am not eligible for full service Medicaid which is not what I ever asked for!
On the 14th of January I was told that I have had full medicaid since September. Then I found out a few weeks later that my supplemental medicaid insurance which runs through United Healthcare. I had not received a card from them so I called and asked why. I was told that it was sent to my old address in another county! I asked who gave them that address and they said who gave them that address. They replied that it was either social services or Medicaid. So I started asking Medicade what address they had for me and they said my present address. After being asked why I told them what happened and the woman went through my records and said that I had no gap of coverage I went in August by them paying for my Part B right to full Medicaid on September 1st and have been that way since. The United Healthcare stepped in helping as of January.
ok got it!!!!!
Today I get a letter from my worker saying that I will be on full Medicaid as of March 1st…….. , lol

From January 2019 I had Medicare, which the Part B of either I had to pay for or I had to apply for medicaid to pay that part. I was going to pay it myself but after sitting down and figuring my rent and utilities I seen I couldn’t do that. So I was approved my Medicaid for them to pay that Part B for me. That continued with to issues
Then on June 8, 2022 I moved to another county and my case was moved to Social Services in the new county. I had a worker that was very nice and I had no problems with then after about a year and a half I got a letter concerning my food stamps case from someone there I had never heard of. I called there and asked to speak to my worker and was told that she had retired 6 months ago and that other person was my worker. After that there was several times I was told by them that they had sent me something in the mail and I hadn’t responded.
In August 2024 I received a letter from s worker that said because I had not replied to a letter they sent my about my medicaid ( Part B coverage) it would start being taken away from me starting September 2024 and there would be money taken out of my social security disability check to cover it. I called and was told by the worker that I could call the number on the back of my letter to reapply for the Medicaid to cover my Part B and to tell her it was an emergency! So I did.
I never heard back from that application and the money was not removed from my check. So I just assumed they were taking their slow sweet time letting me know anything as usual. Then the next month I get a letter from Social Security Disability saying that money for September and October paying for Part B will be removed from my check in October then a monthly amount thereafter! I appealed and in early January I got a letter from the man at the appeals office saying I was not qualified for full coverage Medicaid. I never applied for it!
Also In January I start getting papers from United Health Care Dual ( for Medicare and Medicaid) and I called them on the 14th to tell them to stop sending me stuff there is a mistake and I was told I was mistaken I have both Medicare and Medicaid therefore I should speak to someone at Medicaid and they transferred my call. The man told me I have had full coverage Medicaid since September. I spoke to a woman in February at the same office and she said that I never lost my Medicaid in August it was transferred from being Part B to Fill Coverage. Now this worker is now saying I will get Full Coverage starting March 1st. I never applied for it and I am already on it. Lol!

Goodness me, what a rigmarole. I'm thankful for our health service which is mostly better than yours seems to be.
