Are the wild animals hiding?

Every time I go for a walk by the river. I used to see all kinds of wild animals and if you stand still you can watch them. But lately when I go for a walk by the river there are no wild animals anywhere. Which makes me sad and leads me to believe that they are hiding from me. What do you think are they hiding? Or maybe they do not want me to try and take their picture.

@allknowing Yes they are. Mostly they stay higher up in the mountains.

Aww, it's possible they're hiding. But they might also be on vacation elsewhere. Shelter is a need but food is too, so unless there are more predators by the river - including you (joking, of course ) - maybe there is just less food around.

Most of the animals will hide from people. Even animals like snakes. The only animals that seems to face people head on are the big cats and bear.

@jstory07 Coyote looked cute at times but I don't advice anyone from going near it.

I have seen a coyote in town and cars were honking at it which scared him. The wild life people had to rescue him from the people scaring him.

@jstory07 Maybe it's the weather or something else that's keeping them away . . . they are so much smarter than us.

Animals are much less active during the wintertime, so it may just be a matter of them hunkering down somewhere to stay warm.

@jstory07 That probably explains it. They weren't prepared/ready for such a drop in temperatures. And it's not like they can adjust the thermostat and turn on the heat or grab a few extra blankets to wrap up in! lol

There has been quite a drastic decline in wildlife numbers over here.I try to do a little by feeding the ones who visit the garden

I think they hide themselves from us,human beings. I visit a jungle, every morning. You can see small wild animals, there. But I have,to wait to see them. They hide themselves in bushes or their, holes.
