Are the wild animals hiding?

Every time I go for a walk by the river. I used to see all kinds of wild animals and if you stand still you can watch them. But lately when I go for a walk by the river there are no wild animals anywhere.
Which makes me sad and leads me to believe that they are hiding from me.
What do you think are they hiding? Or maybe they do not want me to try and take their picture.

When and what kind of animals you were able to see on your walks?

@allknowing Yes they are. Mostly they stay higher up in the mountains.

Aww, it's possible they're hiding. But they might also be on vacation elsewhere. Shelter is a need but food is too, so unless there are more predators by the river - including you (joking, of course
) - maybe there is just less food around.

Animals are much less active during the wintertime, so it may just be a matter of them hunkering down somewhere to stay warm.

I think they hide themselves from us,human beings. I visit a jungle, every morning. You can see small wild animals, there. But I have,to wait to see them. They hide themselves in bushes or their, holes.

. We are also animals. Perhaps, the most dangerous, ones. That's why they hide from us.

@jstory07 I see. At least you won't run into a bear then. That's a relief.
