Tania just called me. She changed her flight and she will arrive at my home 2 days later, at 2 am. I´m glad that she called me, at least. Sometimes she just arrives or does not arrive at all. I said it was fine. What else could I say? I hadn´t asked for the extra groceries for tomorrow as I won´t have to prepare something special until Thursday. That something special will be roasted pork which is easy to make. And I´ll cook either rice or potatoes for a side. Tania will have to adapt her days here to my own schedule. On Friday, Martín comes and he is taking me to the dentist. I´m not sure that I like being a mother at this time of my life.

I always thought that once my kids got to a certain age - maybe 25 or so - I could stop worrying about them and basically stop being a mum. But it seems you're a mother for ever.

I know that if I, God forbid, live to be 100 years old I will have to mother my 80 year old daughters.

Relationship equations change with age. Isn't it? I hope that it's a regular dentist visit and all goes well with it

@marguicha Oh! Dentist cost can be very high. Here, most of dental costs are not covered by insurance. How about there?

Well I am glad she called and warned you. Yes, you must proceed with what you have planned and scheduled.

I decided to buy meat to roast while she is here. She loves it and it is easy to make.

I'm glad Pretty tries to schedule around things I've planned... It makes life a lot easier. I'm glad your daughter called and told you about the time change for her arrival. At least she didn't leave you wondering if something happened to her when she didn't arrive on time.

I know. But I wish my daughter did not take me for granted.

@marguicha I understand... There's nothing you can do about that, though, short of telling her to stop and think about what she's doing... and that usually doesn't change anything.

@DaddyEvil She won´r change. She is 60 years old. But she is having the same problems with her sons so I suppose that it is part of the mother role.

At least she called and told you of the visit and the change of day and time. My kids don't usually drop by casually, or without notice. We always try to plan, because everyone is busy, even their mama. Hang in there and try to have a good visit with her.
