HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Not really a surprise. Many teams did that in Trump's first term. And well Philly is always crazy as we locals know. But yeah they said no to Trump so he had to save face and issued this statement: "The Philadelphia Eagles Football Team was invited to the White House, Unfortunately, only a small number of players decided to come, and we canceled the event."
HILARIOUS. You know that you are messed up when even the Eagles won't show up.

I have always found this practice unpatriotic and serves no purpose. When the President of the United States invites you to the White House, regardless of your political affiliations and regardless of what you think of the sitting president, you GO. Because going does not serve as an ENDORSEMENT of any president. It is out of RESPECT and to HONOR the People's House.
If Joe Biden would have sent me an invite, I'd have gone, despite my lack of support for his policies, or my disdain for his presidency.
To me, refusing an invite to the White House is exactly the same as stepping on, spitting on, or burning the American flag. You are giving a middle finger NOT to President Trump, in this case. You are giving a middle finger to America, to our veterans, to our fallen and to everything we stand for as a country.
Some of those 77 million people who voted for Trump are undoubtedly Eagles fans. This is not a good look for the Eagles or the NFL. Any American who proudly flies the stars and stripes should be outraged over the disrespect shown by the Eagles franchise REGARDLESS of their thoughts about the president.
