Rental Adventure Number Disgusting

So I just got back from a wonderful apartment viewing. The cigarette butts everywhere would astound you. The smells that were emanating from the hallways would knock you down. So needless to say, when the lazy leasing agent said she'd be late, that was my opportunity to duck out. No thanks. I didn't even wait to go inside. Then some 'high' person tried to pick me up instead of the Uber on the way back. Not safe. So another one bites the dust.

I’m sorry to hear this. It’s a shame that you can’t just leave your city.

Well, that is what we may have to wind up doing Marie. Just leave. It is really a shame all around.

@RebeccasFarm It is a sad mess. Research before hand if you decide to leave.

@Tampa_girl7 I've moved states Marie to try to find something..many states and each time the same old story..it is really a risk. Even if you buy land..you have to make sure there are no contaminants on it. Anyway, Im rambling now about nonsense. If it were not for my son and his health, I'd be long gone to the woods.

I'm sorry to hear that. You made the right decision to leave. Also, that person seems unhinged. I hope you got away from that person fast. Stay safe.

I did, I got the real Uber back not the person who was enticing me.

@lilacskies Oh gosh if they were trying to drag me in the car, they would win..there is nothing left of me here, I am drained and no fight left in me. So no, they were just talking shite you know figuring here's an old lady I can make a fool of.

@RebeccasFarm Good. How was the person enticing you? Verbally or trying to drag you into the car?

They should atleast ventilate the place and clean it before showing it to prospective customers.

It is inconsiderable that they do this.

@RebeccasFarm Once you get to a certain point, you really would be trying to pull yourself up by your bootstraps. I hope you'll try to keep a few of your favourite photos.

Terrible! You definitely don’t wanna live there. Are you sure it wasn’t the Uber guy that was high? I never take Uber or the like. I do public transportation. Not always a good idea though.

@lovebuglena Lyft and Uber are nearly the same in this area, but just now I compared the price and Uber was cheaper. It depends I guess the time of day. Oh sorry your Mom had issues.

@RebeccasFarm is Uber better than Lyft? My mom used to use Uber but then she had issues with her account and she switched to Lyft. Supposedly it’s cheaper than Uber but not sure if that’s always the case.

Renting can be a pain in the butt, why are you moving anyway?

@RebeccasFarm The problem is, you can't tell a person not to smoke inside their own home (even if they are renting), because it can't be enforced. You can only prevent people from smoking in pubically avabile and accessable ares, (such as laundry room). That being said, you may have limited options if you're low income.

@kaylachan I know of a guy that got evicted for smoking in his apartment..the manager walked right in..but that is the exception. Yes we are low low income..it was not always that way however.

Sorry that apartment was below your expectations. I mean, even a cockroach would think twice before moving to such place, eww! There has to be something better out there, don’t give up.
