I Don't Want To Live Like This Anymore!

One of my favorite content producers on YouTube recently told her audience about a situation she found herself in one day last week. She and her son were just leaving the back of a restaurant on their way to lunch. Two young men about 19-20 passed them and one of them spit. It was in close proximity to her and she commented: "That's gross!" The young spitter replied to her with a filthy response with both the F and B words used. She responded with the old stand-by "Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?" He said some more nasty words. Her 15-year-old son came to her defense and she had to quiet him. What an appalling situation. Whatever happened to being respectful and young people being polite to their elders? What happened to decency and morals? Neo-Nazis seem to be the heroes now. Everything has flip-flopped. And what decent human beings spit anyway? I don't want to live like this anymore. Men are so nasty to women nowadays. That women have lost what little they had. Politically we are in for a continued Sh*t show until at least November. I am hopeful that we get some more Democrats in then. I also think that both sides of the row (Dems and Reps) need to stand up to this tyrant and continue to fight for our rights. This is still a democracy but for how long? I wish I were stronger I'd be out protesting. I write to my representatives but I can't just do that. It doesn't seem enough. Are any of you telling your state legislators that they need to stand up or not? They need to steel their spines against him and Musk. They don't seem to be doing that. Musk made a new demand and wants all federal employees to write to him and let him know what they have accomplished. The federal agencies are telling them not to do so. How much more idiotic and ugly is this going to get? I hate to think about what is ahead. And, what if he does get a third term? I have always tried to tell myself I can make it through. Nothing I can do but breathe. Okay, so after breathing then what? Set by and just watch as normalcy becomes a thing of the past. It's only been a month. Aspire to inspire.

Oh, my goodness. I'm afraid I'd be in jail if I did. Yes, so far a 3rd term is not constitutional. But, he wants to change all that. It's a big voting thing but, with all the lap dogs he has on either side he might just be able to do it.

@celticeagle 2/3 of the states would not ratify a Constitutional amendment for that to happen.

Trump can't run for a third term. People get away wit spitting and saying nasty things, because they can. Less and less people walk away with their heads held high anymore. Words can only hurt, if you let them. That mother didn't have to say anything, she and her son could've walked away.

That's for sure. Yes, I know that there are no 3rd terms yet but with all the lap dogs he has doing his bidding he might be able to get the votes he needs to change that. He's getting too much he wants. Yes, just walk away. Never stand up for yourself. There was once a time when people were respectful.

@celticeagle People weren't rrespectful so much as they typically minded their own business. You need to know when to fight and stand up for yourself, and when to take the high road and walk away. Getting into a fight on the sidewalk isn't standing up for yourself, that's proving the point that women are sensitive and can't take it on the chin. Now, if she got denied a job for a clearly dis crimintory reason, then, yes challenge it. And, no. ATArump would need to amend t the consitution, in order to get a third term. no lap dogs can vote to change how elections work.

The world has changed so drastically that it was simple for me to choose to go on alone in my life. Goodness knows who or in some cases what I could wind up with.

Oh, I hear that. We don't bring anyone new into our home nowadays. We have a neighbor we have known for years that my daughter talks to but that's it.

Neo-Nazis are gaining prominence in Australia too. I'm not even sure what they want.

There are lots of hate crimes going on here in the US, Canada, and Europe. People are becoming angrier and more unhinged. Lots of people are leaving these countries to move to other countries where they feel safer. For instance, the Jewish people are moving out of the US and the UK and moving to Israel to feel safer.

Yes, I feel especially bad for the gay folk out there. They were getting treated horribly and that was before all this new stuff Trump has set down. I wish I could move out of the US. It's no longer a place I feel safe or at home in any longer.

@celticeagle That's true. Where would you go? Would you go to Ireland? I'm glad the Jewish people can at least go to Israel.
