On a lighter note...

Life is so serious right now that I have started taking joys in simple things-like today I made popcorn and the three of us (mom, dad and me) munched on the popcorn over some Bengali soap opera my mom watches. I find soap operas dramatic and hilarious but my mom treats the characters in them as her own family members! Everyone around us teach us to caulk each day as a productive or a nonconstructive day. But there's no choosing between black or white. Sometimes, it's something in between. A balanced day is a mix of both productivity and laziness. I hope we can enjoy life as it is. To take joy in the simplest of activities...to happiness being the only aim... to life

I think for a healthy, happy life we need a good balance of work and play.

@Dreamerby then set your priorities and try to eliminate works which are not essential.

that is true. But at this point of life, I find myself overburdened with work.

Did she also talk about those characters all day making it seem like they existed in real?

Glad you got to enjoy the present moment with some popcorn, and the soap opera. Personally, I would have avoided the latter but hey, whatever pleases the family.

I never like soaps and serials. They are typical and look as if they are imaginary.

@Dreamerby I prefer to watch horror movies as they thrill me. Watching soaps is an addiction and that is one more reason I don't watch them.

Haha, I can totally relate to that! Whenever I have some free time, I love to just relax and spend those moments with my mom. We usually end up sitting together and watching those shows, enjoying our time but not the soap operas. Turns out you can watch almost anything with the person you like.

One of my sister-in-laws acted like people in soap operas were real and she was always worrying about their health, their jobs and what they were planning to do the next day. It was really weird. I'm glad you and your family are doing something together and enjoying yourselves.
