I Sold the Plant Stand Rental Adventures

United States
February 25, 2025 1:48pm CST
A lady came right away to buy it from Facebook Marketplace. The stand was pure brass and folded up for storage too. It was nearly 5 ft tall as well and brass and could be shined up nice with Brasso. I'll miss it, though I never got to enjoy it. I had bought it at a garage sale a couple years ago, for what I don't know. I should have known I couldn't keep it. Now I'll see if I can sell my big Instant Pot, the bread machine and the popcorn maker that all match. And I hope I can find other things. I don't use Facebook a lot at all, but that Marketplace has helped me out when moving quite a bit. People seem to buy fast on there, where as if I list things on Nextdoor, people mess around and don't show up and dilly dally. Where is your favorite place to sell locally or do you at all?

I've never sold anything online before. Sounds interesting! Also, congratulations on your sale! I'm glad you sold it so quickly. I hope you sell more things, save up the money, and use it towards your move.

I've only listed on Marketplace once or twice. I sell on Ebay, mainly because I don't want the hassle of people saying they are coming on xyz at 123 and then never show up. I'm glad you are not having that problem!!

That is a cute plant stand - I can see why it was snatched up so quickly. I don't sell anymore, but a friend told me that FB Marketplace worked well for her too. Long ago I used Craigslist all the time.

That is a huge plant stand, very tall. It is great that you sold it. I usually sell items on kijiji, which is a free site to list things on.

That's great that the stand sold so fast. I hope the other things do as well. Our local buy and sell FB site seems quite efficient although I haven't used it much.

It seems the best site at the moment for me in my circumstance Judy. It's always dicey though bringing people, strangers to your door.
