Here in the south we call the meals breakfast, dinner, and supper. Our dinner is usually around 2pm, then a snack later in the evening. I cooked a yummy beef (not venison!) stew with potatoes, carrots, celery, bay leaves, onion powder, and salt and pepper. It was soo good...we have enough for dinner tomorrow. I also made an elbow pasta salad (gluten free), and fried some corn bread. What did you have today? Something that was unusually yummy?

Oh, wow. You don't call any meal lunch. Interesting. I had Israeli food with my brother for lunch today. His treat.

@1creekgirl Yes, it was very good! I posted about it. I had beef skirt steak with a side of fresh vegetable salad and couscous. My brother treats me to Israeli food every time he goes. He knows I will always say yes to free food. Lol!

For us it's breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For lunch it's usually a bit light for me. For dinner I made taco salad bowls from the forms we have that turn soft flour tortillas into crunchy bowls. Had hamburger meat with taco seasoning, lettuce, onions, tomatoes, cheese, salsa and sour cream. Yummy. Dinner is always our biggest meal of the day.

That was yummy, I bet. Dinner's our main meal around 2pm, then a snack that evening.

How do you cook spinach? I like it raw in a salad, although I can't eat it now, but not cooked.

@1creekgirl I order groceries only once a month so my spinach is canned like Popeye's was. I sautee in salted butter with minced garlic,

When I was little, the three main meals were always breakfast, dinner and tea. Now it's changed to breakfast, lunch and dinner.

@1creekgirl Yes, I guess so. For us, 'supper' would be tea/coffee and a snack before you go to bed at night or after the movies or a concert, etc.

I have lunch around 1pm and a snack for dinner at 4 or 5pm. That's it until breakfast the next day. My snack was a few cookies l baked made of oats, sunflower seeds, flaxseeds, a ripe banana, coconut milk and cinnamon.

I find meal names, like times, flexible. Mostly supper is a meal later in the evening and dinner is the early evening one.
