Glad to share a thought with Albert Einstein

I am no physicist. So E= MC square is little more than typed stuff for me.
Matter can neither be destroyed nor created....well, I don't know much about that too.
That said, there was an aspect of Einstein, which few might have known because it does not earn millions nor is it a matter that can get anybody Nobel Prize.
Here is the quote...
"The indifference, callousness and contempt that so many people exhibit toward animals is evil first because it results in great suffering in animals, and second because it results in an incalculably great impoverishment of the human spirit."
I felt for the cats, dogs, cattle, horses, pigs, and many other animals who had no voting rights relating to Israel Hamas war, or the Russia Ukraine war.
Yet they die, without honor. Get no food, water, die of painful hunger, and injuries of shells.
For which sin...
And the poem that touched my heart...
"I scream! I cry!
People see me, they just sigh!
Once my dreams were my fairy tale
Now they are merely my emotional jail
They break me, they haunt me, every night
Oh god! What should I do, nothing seems right
When I used to wiggle my tail, they pampered and kissed me
When they were out of home, they used to miss me
I don't know where they are now
I want to go back to them, but don't know how
I scream, I cry
People see me, they just sigh!
Every one who passes by, now calls me a stray
Nights at street are cold, hot are the days
Should I wait and watch for my owners
Is there any chance they would come to me
And take me back to home someday?
The person who wrote this just signed as "Vorak"...
I hope our dear friend Pony (@TheHorse), who so much shies from romantic numbers, and is stuck on sad sad sad sad sad parts of life, can come up with A nice Original tune for this...and we can try to upload it on YouTube.....with due credit to Mr. Vorak and of course Ponyji. He is a good composer.
This is love. As I understand it.

How a person treats these animals says a lot about his character. I feel so bad when pets are abandoned, but then people don't mind abandoning their own parents when they no more serve the purpose they want a parent for. Many old pets are just left on the streets.

@arunima25 Labradors live that long?
I am surprised Golden Retriever lived for 17 years. Normally 13 or 14.
I once wanted to own one...towards the end of my life. Kinda, company. After I die, it would get a caregiver...mostly somebody who would feed it, and get a vet to attend to its needs. But JJ made me realize that is selfish. Pets need more than just food and care.
Now I am not sure. So make do with strays. I love them all. Each one has distinct personality.

@vandana7 Most dogs if taken good care live around 12_14 years. I was lucky to have these ones who lived really long. Our local breeds live longer.
Pets are handful. I have not got one after Topaz left in 2014. I don't think that I have time and energy left to give all that they need.

@vandana7 Our Topaz, a Golden retriever stayed with us for 17 long years. I remember we had one desi breed with my grandparents who lived for almost 21 years. I saw him as a toddler and he was there till my marriage.

I avoided keeping pets as I feared what would happen to them when I am gone but then I did rescued a puppy in 2023 and now he is a grown up dog.

I am just supporting 10 strays. That too off and on. Issue is, most of them sleep during the day, so I can only feed some of them in the mornings, and some in the nights. Summer is here, and rice if cooked earlier will get spoilt. So I tend to buy some meat and feed them. They get their proteins. Instead of kibble, which is difficult to procure here, I feed them biscuits...just 1 packet per dog per day. A couple of them are perfectly fine with bananas...so they get bananas. Some get chicken feet (surprise surprise ..zero cost meal...tentatively on hold because of avian flu variant...will restart end of March). Sometimes eggs and rice, with chicken curry, sometimes curds and rice with chicken....sometimes only curds and rice...the poor darlings....they eat that curds and rice as if they haven't eaten for ages....that hungry....
But lucky my 10 do not roam around for getting meals....this means, they are not at risk of contracting rabies...no other dogs they are fighting with. This is the only thing I can do for them, as of now.
When I give, I try to remember Sai Baba. Hope that meal is fulfilling for them. Its such a pleasure watching them enjoy food.

@aninditasen I think there are others also feeding them. People here have realized that feeding a dog is a good way to prevent them getting into fights, and contracting rabies.

@vandana7 Your 10 dogs are well behaved. Being stray dogs they don't fight with other dogs and roam about to eat whatever they get. My dog, Kittu is a always at his buts to fight with the stray dogs. That's the reason I take him for a walk early in the morning.

Honestly, I like even lizards. LOL
My dogs, I do feed chicken, and then feel bad for the chicken.
That is unsure territory....if I don't feed the stray dogs chicken, they are gonna do scavenging in dustbins, and fight with other dogs for what they get, risk being bitten by a rabid one. But if I feed them some, and keep them satiated, then I have saved their life for a few more months. It still does not feel good but I try to tell me, hey, god wanted it that way. These dogs are not eating for pleasure like we humans do. They are eating because god planned it that way. Else why do chicken lay eggs so frequently and why is the frequency of chicks being born so high, when compared to say cows, or lambs.

@vandana7 Dogs are meant to eat meat. That's the way nature is. I am glad you are helping the ones you can.

@TheHorse You are pathetic. LOL
Just compose some, and lets see if we can get Coral to sing it.
Did you know Hitler kept German Shepherds, and his favorite was Blondi, on whom he tried the cyanide capsule...
I could never ever do that hero.
I mean, ok...I am gonna be tried for war crimes, if I get captured......
But Blondi will not be...why kill her.....the man was incapable of love, insane...
