As you might recall, I have several mental health issues that I'm transparent about.
I have Major Depressive Disorder (also known as Clinical Depression), Anxiety Disorder, and Mild Cognitive Impairment (pre-cursor to Dementia). I take medication for the Depression and The MCI. I can't take anxiety medication because of some reason I don't remember. I think it contributes to fuzzy brain (MCI).
I've seen a therapist once a month of every 6 weeks for 17 years. It really helps. I had a major "nervous breakdown" if you want to call it that when my former husband died and I was an absolute wreck. She helped me through that.
Now she has retired as of December and I have to see somebody new. Not only do I have to see someone new but I've been doing telehealth video visits ever since COVID and haven't had to go into the office (and subsequently haven't had to pay a copay).
So today is a big day for me full of changes. Meeting a new therapist. Going into an office to see her.

I hope you're as comfortable with your new therapist as you were with the old one.
