If you know me at all, you know I love all things strange, weird, and unusual. So when I saw Jimmy Fallon joking about this cruise, I couldn't help but laugh—it’s definitely one of those quirky ideas!
Carnival Cruise Lines (I think that’s the one) is offering a Star Trek cruise to celebrate a Trekkie anniversary. How cool is that?
I grew up watching Star Trek, thanks to my uncles who were huge fans of the show. Even with my love for all things unique, I still find the idea of a Star Trek cruise a bit out there. Although, I guess it’s not totally surprising—didn’t they have a Star Trek-themed hotel in Las Vegas? But something about the combination of Star Trek and being on water just adds an extra layer of weirdness. I wonder if the port stops have some fun Star Trek themes, too—that could be a blast!
So, what do you think? Is this a vacation you’d be interested in?

That is the best episode of Classic Trek. I love that one.

I liked to watch Star Trek when I was younger. I wouldn't mind going on a cruise like that.

No, I'm not a Trekkie and definitely not a fan of Carnival after our last cruise.

Not for me. That must have been on when we were in the country with no TV.

Lol, you sure you don't want to take a cruise with William Shatner? It could be fun lol

It would likely be weird, but interesting. We did not do a Star Trek cruise, but we did host a Star Trek convention aboard the USS Enterprise (my ship), in Ft. Lauderdale one year. Rather interesting crowd, though I did get to meet James Doohan and Terry Farrell since they had their autograph booth next to our booth where we were selling CVN-65 hats, tee shirts and other memorabilia. A lot of these people were serious.
