I hear everyone singing the praises of Avocado But I just do not like its taste. My friend brought me 3 of them a long time ago. I somehow managed to eat them by making salads and stuff and sowed the seeds. Two germinated and they are now fully grown Waiting for them to start yielding and by then I should hopefully get to like the taste of this fruit just like I got to like the dark chocolate which I had not liked initially.

I love them when they’re ripe, so creamy. I had half with scrambled eggs as someone suggested, the other half went with eggs again but made a cream to dress noodles. Are noodles to be dressed or to be topped? Or some other verb? Oh well.

That seems a great way to eat it. Just waiting for the trees to yield.

@somewitch yeah the key to enjoying avocado is to mix it with all the veggies you like or eggs

@allknowing Awesome, I'm sure you'll find a way to enjoy the fruits once they're ready.

When I was growing up, I did not like avocado. I loved them later on as an adult as I tried avocados in many other ways. All the rage here at one time was putting avocado on toast - I thought it would make a strange combination . . . but it is strangely good

I have a strong hate for Avocado. They would not ripe when I am watching them. Then I turned away for awhile, they became over-riped.

Do they even have a taste of their own? I don't think so. I think its hyped because of the nutritional value.

haha! I once had anavocado sandwich. I was surprised to find that Avocado doesn't have a taste of its own. Its like tofu...blends in with others...assumes the taste of whatever is mixed with it! lol...maybe its so hyped because of the nutritional value.

I also don't like the taste of Avocado. But I do eat them occasionally due to the health benefits. BTW, as a dark chocolate lover, I try to limit my intake of dark chocolate. I did some research. There are heavy metals in dark chocolate. Eating them too frequently and regularly may have some adverse effects.
