Garbage

Our Government has a nice system where they collect garbage from house to house every day
We only give our dry garbage as the wet garbage goes into compost pits. The garbage gets composed for a full year and by then we get some good manure that we use for our garden.
We have never used artififical fertilizer which actually spoils the soil unlike natural manure that enriches the soil

You just need to dig a pit and dump it there.

@JudyEv If your wet garbage is not much you can get a drum for it.

@allknowing I don't have the room here. I could buy a commercial installation of some sort.

If you have a garden, making compost is a no-brainer. Yes, way better than artificial fertilizers that spoil the soil but our health too. We don’t have a garden so we let the garbage guys collect wet waste too.

It is no doubt a brainer but do you know we are the only one's around here that prepare compost . The others give everything to the garbage collectors.

@allknowing Even if they have a garden? And would you take in their wet waste if they offered?

I also do not like to use artificial fertiliser. In my apartment, they collect our waste from house to house too. The only thing is that we do not need to separate even through we are encouraged to do so. It cost eight dollars a month for our waste management.
