Do you have a favorite cooking oil?

I bought some (unsalted) butter yesterday at Safeway. I used to cook my morning eggs yesterday and today. It added a bit of flavor, and I liked it.
But my default oil for the last several years has been olive oil. I like the taste of olive oil, and can use it for making anything from salads to pancakes. Mostly I use it on pasta with a bit of Parmesan cheese.
Do you know what "virgin" means when it comes to olive oil? Is "well-laid" olive oil its opposite?
And what's the difference between virgin and extra-virgin?
Anyway, what's your favorite oil to use for cooking?

Virgin and extra virgin are grades of olive oil. Extra virgin is the highest and has a lower acidity, virgin has some defects and higher acidity than extra virgin. They're both unrefined; if it's refined, it's just "olive oil," although sometimes the bottles sold as just olive oil are blended with virgin olive oil for better flavor.
We always have some olive oil on hand, but I'm partial to grapeseed oil. It's really good for things like potstickers.

My two greasers are salted butter and Great Value vegetable oil but a lot of the time I just heat things up in my toaster oven.
