What an enjoyable and relaxing way to pass time. Recently, I spent a couple of weeks alone when family went away on holiday. I suddenly had lots of time to fill on my own, and at times it was lonely. I enjoyed doing what I wanted, and one of the things I enjoyed the most was a walk by the river. This is something I do with my parents, and is an enjoyable route.
To finish the walk off, about a quarter of a mile from my car is a fish and chip shop. I enjoyed fish and chips by the river. I found this ended the trip well. I should’ve bought some mushy peas or curry sauce though to compliment the dish.

I am gonna have to try mushy peas one of these days..they sound kind of awful, but I bet they are delicious.

Everyone longs for 'me' time and I get plenty of it I sit in my favourite corner and watch the birds in the bird bath frolicking
That must have been a nice experience eating those fish and chips all by yourself. Hope no one came for them. When I was in the US I saw a little kid munching something. I asked her if she could share some with me and her reply was "Get your own stuff"

You know how to enjoy your time alone, walking in nature is beautiful. Fish and chips is also good, even if I haven’t had any in ages. I wish we had shops like that over here. Well, there are some that might serve fried seafood with chips but not authentic fish and chips.

Yes I don’t think you can beat a walk in the countryside.

It's good that you went for walks and even better that you finished with fish and chips by the river.
