Yesterday on my foray into the bigger of the two towns that are around here (the county seat) I happened to see an antique shop. It seems like those businesses a long Main street are always changing .Anyway, I went in. That place was packed with things..not really an antique lover, and nowhere really to display if I was I just sauntered on through, but I happened to think of a few antiques I have here that belonged to my former mother in law, one being sterling silver..they are just sitting around here. The guy at the counter wasn't the owner but said he should be around next week. Maybe I will get an estimate on them. If I got what I considered a fair price, I might just sell them. Are you an antiques fan? Have you ever sold any?

Yes, I go to antique stores sometimes to buy my family gifts. I've never sold anything.

I was amazed how much was crammed in that little shop.

@snowy22315 They're fun places and often the owners are interesting to speak with.

I the “antiques” I bought as a teenager were not high priced items. I used to buy old postcards. They had messages to people from long ago, and originated far and wide, and that fascinated me. I also used to collect antique bells, but the small ones. So those things weren’t high end, but I loved stopping at antique stores on vacation and looking for them.

If you really had no idea, you'd probably have to go to a few. Most things can be researched online. For instance, I just looked up the price of silver. I can weigh it here.

No I'm not really into antiques. I appreciate their beauty, but have no interest in them.

Me neither, not really into old stuff. They can be fun to look at though.
