Police in New York state rescue a horse that fell into a frozen pond

Ali Ernest who is the owner of a male horse named Sly called 911 to ask for help from the authorities to ask for their help to rescue his pet who was struggling to get out of the frozen pond that was around 10 to 12 feet deep on Monday February 24.
Saratoga Springs Police Officer Kyle Clinton assisted Ali to use a rope to try to get Sly out of the pond when officers Kris Camarro and Dominic Martuscello assisted the others to rescue the horse from freezing to death.
Sly was taken by the police officers to Ali's barn where a veterinarian when he was taken to the Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital where he is being treated for cold temperature while a fence has been placed around the pond.

Wish animals could read English then every waterway could have a big sign in the winter ANIMALS DON'T GO ANY FARTHER!

Cold water is not much good for anything really, especially for animals not used to it. Only a few animals, like penguins, and seals, have the blubber to cope with the cold.
It was good the horse was rescued from such an icy environment.

That is true that cold weather is not good for some animals besides penguins.
