Oops, I Did It Again - Another Allergic Reaction to Tree Nuts

What the heck is going on? I've been eating this certain flavor of Think! Protein Bars for over a year now without issue. I had one today and had an almost immediate allergic reaction with red face, anxiety, and red whelps on my face, neck and chest. So I looked at the label for the 1400th time. This time the label said, "Made with peanuts, almonds, and tree nuts." What? Where did that come from? It's never said that before. I wouldn't have ever eaten it if it had said that on the label. Plus I've never had a reaction to them before. My best guess is that they just recently changed the ingredients in their product, probably adding nuts to boost the protein count as these are marketed as "High Protein" foods. I couldn't get anyone at the manufacturing company by phone, so I've emailed their customer service number to ask if they're recently changed their formula. I just want to know what happened. In the interim, my friend said she'd take the unopened boxes off my hands as I definitely can't eat anything with tree nuts.
