Dinner Break

I am currently on my dinner break eating a cheeseburger and fries at my favorite local diner. I will be going back to work shortly. My first shift is going great so far. Well, maybe great isn't the right word. It's going normally. Busy, lots of patrons, chaotic, good music. Coworkers are fairly nice too. There's one in particular I really like. She is a waitress like me and really nice. She stands out to me because I don't get any bad vibes from her at all and she is the only coworker I have met so far who doesn't try to seduce my brother despite being him being married. That is refreshing to me.
My brother didn't have his dinner break yet. He'll have it later in the night around 11-ish probably. He switches out later at night. I'll see how that goes. He is a bouncer at the same nightclub. He drove me there using my car because he always needs to drive when he is in a car. He refuses to sit in the passenger seat. We are going to split paying my gas like we used to. That's a nice way to save some money.
My mind is racing and I have a bit of an adrenaline rush. I feel really good despite my chronic pain. Working in a chaotic environment is a good distraction for me. I need to work in an environment like this to be able to pay my bills. I can't work in the daytime. I tried and I simply can't. Not for me. Maybe I'm a vampire. Lol!
Anyway, today is going very well for me. Things are looking up for now.

Thank you. Yes, we are splitting the gas bill since we are carpooling together. Yes, she is very nice. I like her a lot. I'd like to have drinks with her after work sometime when we are both free.

I hope your whole night went well. If it's your car I would tell your brother where to sit but that's me. I don't like men thinking they can tell me what to do unless they are my boss lol

It went very well fortunately. It was a busy, chaotic night. It's going to get even busier during the weekend so I hope I can get some more shifts then. Haha Yes, but I just let him be. He treats me to good food and splits the gas bill, so why not? He's a better driver than me anyway. I tend to cower around my brother. He's a big guy!

Thank you. Yes, we are splitting the gas bill since we carpool together. Dinner was very good. The price was rather high, but nothing can be done. Eating out is expensive.

i can't work at night but i can wake up at 4 or 5a.m. if needed. it's refreshing to meet a decent coworker. glad for you

@grenery8 Thank you. I enjoy walking alone and going to isolated places where I can just look up at the sky and breathe in fresh air. I like being alone. It's tiring being around people. Haha Thank you. I love being a vampire.

That is so sweet! Yes, I must be a vampire, and according to you, a good one! I can't work in the daylight. My body just freezes up and I hyperventilate. I can work fine at work and long hours. It has to be at night though. That is key. Thank you. I might have drinks with this coworker sometime. I'll see. That would be fun. Thank you so much!
