Is Trump going to back down on his stupid tariff stunt?

Seems like he will after he totally trashed the stock market, freaked out Americans, and alienated our neighbors in Canada and Mexico yesterday. What a Very Stable Genius.
His Commerce Secretary Lutnick said yesterday that Trump will "probably" make some kind of compromise on the 25% tariffs that he stupidly announced and imposed. (stupidly is my description not Lutnick's) HAHAHAHAHAHAHA That just shows how dumb Trump is and that he doesn't understand tariffs. He tried to do the FA and FO when the stock market crashed in just 2 days and he had to deliver his address to Congress last night.
It has only been 6 weeks of this jackass being president again and wow look where we are. Can't wait to see those Social Security and Medicaid cuts that 77 million people voted for. Enjoy!

I hope that he does, this is hard on us people, your side as well as our side.
I shudder to think of what will happen should our Premiere follow through with his plans for the power that Ontario provides to NY, MI and MN, it will not be pretty. I cannot even begin to think of the 'benefit' of this kind of action, those residents are not responsible for what DT's office does.
Tariffs only divide, they divide countries and they divide within countries from the working class and the well to do.

@FourWalls How do we convince the original British colonies to secede from 'the union'?

@Juliaacv and @BarBaraPrz — I apologize for our government, even though I didn’t vote for it. I hope Trudeau mentioned the threats to Canadian annexation that iDJiT has made to King Charles, and that he’ll do something about it (if nothing else, transport Canadian goods under a British flag so they aren’t “Canadian imports”
)…like saying he’s going to reclaim America as British colonies.

What really bugs me is the lack of thought and measured thinking that goes into these decisions.

It didn't work out for William McKinley either who also believed in tariffs.

Gee, if he backs down then he’ll have to admit that he was wrong, won’t he? Megalomaniacs can’t do that.
PS: Have you ever heard R.E.M.’s “World Leader Pretend”? It’s from 1988, but you’d swear they wrote it last week.

These tariffs decision are not very well received by many and they fear that it might hit back America with recession and inflation. Let's hope that he gets some sense in time. It is being globally talked about.
