Ok bad announcement but I am still wrapping my mind around this. Woke up at 5 AM for a bathroom run. Both cats were in the kitchen. Filled bowls and gave fresh water. When back to sleep and heard them chasingh eash other. Woke up at 8 AM and went into the workroom to see Freddie sleeping across one of the spokes of my PC chair, He had never done that before. I went to see what was up and you know the result as by the heading. i have no idea as to what happened but my friesnds downstairs came to my help and he will be buried in the garden. His sister Tish is handling it well but seems to be running around more I guess seeing his spirit. He did not reach 3 years of age. I cannot say more at this moemtn but will be with you tomorrow.

@RasmaSandra I had a huge stuffed animal in a kitchen chair one time that a young cat loved to sleep on. Cat was still kind of wild so when I went through with the laundry and had to step over him I knew something was wrong. When I put the laundry down and picked him up I could tell he broke his neck. I can only guess he fell off and hit the back of the chair right. They can amaze us with everything they do. Even that.

@RasmaSandra It was shocking. Especially expecting him to run and he didn't. Freddie knew he was loved is what matters

Wow, that's a surprise, and no indication he could've been sick at all?

@RasmaSandra Was he the black cat in your profile picture? I wonder if he could've injured himself somehow. But, my gyess underlying heart problem that was never noticed. it's rare they die so young, s sunddely. I am glad you're okay and have a place to put him. Three hours, that was.... shocking.

@RasmaSandra It still has to be jaring to have lost a pet like that. We knew in advance about our cats, but it's still hard.

@JudyEv when I saw him lying over the spoke of my PC chair something he has never done I was so scared of a total anxiety attack. I have survived and so has Tish.

One of my kitties sighed and passed away just like that one day as I was headed out to work. My vet said he likely had an aneurysm. I was comforted by the fact that he had a good life with us and he was in my chair when he passed. Perhaps it was the same for Freddy. It sounds as if he was not ill nor in pain or you would have known it.

@GardenGerty he did take one tumble from a tall bookcase but onto a soft rug and kept on jumping up and down onto the bookcase afterwards so it appeared he was perfectly all right until the day he keeled over

@AmbiePam thank you I should have prepared myself for something odd happening because Tish was sitting in the kitchen right by the workroom door and looking at me and meowing. Then I went into the room and saw the scene with Freddie lying over the spoke of the PC chair a place he never slept and then I found out the worst.
