I went to the big Tesco again this afternoon. My Mum was going to come with me, but at the last minute she changed her mind and said it would take her too long to get ready. So I went on my own again. When I got there I went and fetched a trolley, then I posted 2 birthday cards that my Mum was sending to people, and then I got rid of the soft recycle at the recycle receptacle.
One of the lifts wasn't working, but fortunately the other one was, so I went up on the lift. First I got a Doctor Who magazine. I've got another two at home that I've got to finish reading first though!
After that I got 1 bottle of water and 3 packets of seaweed thins. Then I was going towards the area where the medicines are when I saw one of those MASSIVE aeros, so I decided to treat myself to that! At the medicine area I got 2 packets of soothers for Syd and I got some stuff for my dry lips, something more effective than your average lip salve. 'Cos I've got dry and cracked lips, because I have a habbit of sucking them.
Then I went and got some pads for my Mum, and then it was off to the fruit and veg section. I got some of the edamame beans in their pods, I got some green grapes and strawberries for Mum. Then I got some spring onions for me and some little gem lettuces, which are going to be for me and my Mum because I need some for one of my recipes. I got a red pepper, and then I got a carton of soy milk with no added sugar. In the second isle of the fruit and veg section I got a red grapefruit and a lemon for me, and some dried fruit for one of my recipes. I looked for some bananas, but they were all out of stock! So I went round the other side and got a bag of shallots. I only wanted one, but they don't come in singles!
I got myself some shiitake mushrooms, then I went round and got Mum's milk and my yoghurts. I got 2 strawberry rice puddings for my Mum and Syd for their puddings on Sunday. Then I went to the cheese isle and got some mini pork pies for my Mum.
At the end of the isle I got some tuna and sweetcorn sandwich spread that my Mum likes to use as a topping on her baked potatoes. Then I went to the vegan and ready meals isle. I got some lamb hotpots for my Mum. She asked for beef ones but I could only see lamb. Then I went to look for my vegan stuff. I got 4 packets of meat free bites, and some tofu but I couldn't get a vegan pizza again.
Next I went to the ingredients isle and got a little pot of sesame seeds and a jar of tahini. Then I went to the pasta, rice and ingredients isle and got 2 lots of Tilda egg fried rice for my Mum and some mirin for me.
I then went off to the canned isle and got a Chinese chow mein pot noodle and a can of vegetable soup for Syd. And then I went to the cakes. Mum wanted some chocolate eclairs for a change, so I got some of those. Then I got some pancakes (yes, they actually had some!) I went and got some Mr Kipling apple pies. Next I got myself some maple syrup, and I got Syd some golden syrup and some strawberry jam. I got the reduced sugar one. Then I remembered that Mum wanted a Victoria sponge cake too, so I went back to get that.
After that I went off to the crisps isle and got a 6 pack of Walkers and a tube of plain pringles. Then I went to the teas and coffees isle and got some gingernut biscuits for Syd. Next I went to the cereal isle and got some treacle puddings for Syd and some cornflour and grape and but cereal for me again.
Then I went to the frozen section and I got some peas for my Mum and some vegan magnum ice lollies for me. In the second freezer isle I got 10 fish fingers and 2 of the posh fish in batter.
I got some toilet paper and an Amazon gift card for me, and then I went to pay. It came to about £155 with club card. I went and swapped my book at the Tesco book swap. I actually got 4 books. I found a New Testament and Psalms in large print, so I thought that would be useful for my Mum. So I took that. Then I found 2 Christian books, one about how to defeat your giants and another one talking about inner healing, and I thought they would both be good for me, so I took those. I also took another crime novel. So because I was taking 4 books and only leaving one I also put a donation of £2 in the collection tub.
I went and sat down on a bench for a few more minutes, and read a few pages of my crime novel. Then I went down on the lift and sat on the bench in the undercover car park for a few minutes. When Syd came we packed the groceries away and went home.
When I got home I gave Mum the New Testament and Psalms, and she loves it.
I took my coat and shoes off, and then I gave Mum her change, club card and shopping list. Then I unpacked the groceries and put them away.
I had my dinner, and Mum and Syd had the pancakes tonight now instead of yesterday! Better late than never!
Later I put the recycle out ready for the recycle bin man coming tomorrow.
Mum is going out to the house group tonight.
What have you lot been getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a great night. (Or day, or afternoon, or evening, whatever time it is where you are in MyLot land!)
Nos da!

What exactly is soft recycle? Just literally what it says, soft, material wise, recyclable items? It also sounds like I would enjoy those Christian books.
I had a doctor’s appointment at 8:45am this morning, and he didn’t even see me until 10am. He is never on time. After that, I went to my dad’s house, and ate lunch with him and my stepmom. After that, I went to the pharmacy to pick up the prescription my doctor this morning called in.

Soft recycle is plastic bags, crisp packets, packets that say recycle with bags at larger stores, etc.
I'm glad you would enjoy the Christian books.
That's a bit bad. I'd complain if the doctor kept me waiting that long.
I hope you enjoyed your lunch at your dad's house. I'm glad you could get your prescription.
I hope you are well.
Have a nice day.

Thank you very much. Yes, I'm glad I was able to.get almost everything I wanted. I couldn't believe they didn't have any bananas though. That was really surprising. Yes, I did get some good book's from the Tesco book swap, and my Mum loves her New Testament and Psalms in large print.
