Is Amazon shopping safe anymore?

I had an Amazon account for 15 years. I was in at the start when Bezoz had hair. Two weeks before Christmas Amazon locked my account, claiming 'suspicious activity' on it, fair enough. Sadly I didn't have the two tier password protection where they send a code to your phone or email etc. Last summer I discovered the generic email I joined with had long since been shut down by yahoo for non use so wanted to add my new phone number to adapt to the two tier thing. But yep, you guessed it, I needed to access that email to change my phone number. So come Christmas they locked me out and I spent an hour on the call center trying to get back in, mainly because I had £80 worth of Amazon vouchers in there for Christmas shopping. But they were not having it and said if you dont have the two password protocol thing you are not getting in. I haven't given up on getting my £80 back but not looking good. The US Amazon system has a thing where you can send documents to prove its you but not the UK one where I reside. So I made a new account with anew email and phone number to do my Christmas shopping, same credit card and address etc...two tier security in place this time. So f*ck me when I got to log-in today the new account is now locked!!!! I have to prove its me again due to the 'suspicious activity' thing. I have £100 worth of vouchers in there this time. It feels like Amazon is no longer safe to shop in. I cant wait to pull my credit card and get out for good. Enough is enough. Im so annoyed.

I never could shop easily in Amazon but discovered that it was my fault. My youngest daughter does it perfectly well so she shops for me there.

I don't have any problems. Just received an order this week. You need to contact them as something is happening

I have heard all kinds of stories over the years. I don't like Amazon and I don't use them. I have heard that they are not good to their employees and that they like to buy out small businesses. I tried to buy a product I could only find on their site once a few years ago. They actually would not let buy the item unless I was a member of their group. I refused and I won't go back to them again.

I have never shopped Amazon. I am so glad I do not. But I do hope you get it all figured out.

I've never had a problem with Amazon. I usually only get ebooks from them, though. If we need anything else from them, my daughter shops there and gets whatever we need. As far as I know, she's never had a problem with Amazon, either.

I would be mad too! I hope you get to spend those vouchers and then leave. I virtually never shop at Amazon but for different reasons.
