What is normal? What is normal to one person might not be normal to another person. What is normal for one family is not normal for another family. What is normal for you is not normal for me. Normal what is normal? Your family is not even normal to everyone else. You might be a family with two Mothers or two Fathers. You might have two grandparents and a single mother with children. So what is a normal family might not be normal for everyone. What would the world be like if every family was the same. That would be abnormal.

True, there's really no such thing. I guess in general it refers to 'most common'.

So true but what is common for me might not be common for you. And there I go again.

I adjust to the reality and if it changes I take it as the new normal. My approach is change what I can for the better, and accept those I can't.

That's really true. My household is supposed to consist of my husband, daughter and me. I'm living in Metro Manila with my daughter while my husband lives in Mindanao. That is normal to me but not to you.

I loved your last paragraph. What would the world be like if every family was the same. That would be abnormal.

Quite agree, I like my own normal and am not keen on other people's normal!

That's what makes each of us special and unique. Is anyone really "normal"? Have a good day.

There is no such thing as normal and abnormal. Just social constructs made by society.

I think all of us have different family dynamics and that is why, you know, in marriages its difficult to adjust sometimes
