Today I am feeling a bit better. Yesterday was an ugly day. I had visions of holes in my head like a seed pod or something. It made me very nauseated. I took one of my anxiety pills which helped me calm down, I did what I could on here and I just did nothing for the rest of the day.
Today I am okay but my grandson's SSA hearing will happen in a few hours so am trying to maintain for that. I always get nervous and a bit stressed when things are looming.
The president's address to Congress was strange to say the least. He always takes credit where none is due him and acts oblivious to what is actually happening in the country to his constituents. And, this morning I read that because of all the SSA layoffs our SS payments could be late or not coming for at least 90 days. I really don't think we can stay a float for three months with responsibilities such as rent, food, other bills. What are people who depend on their SS check each month going to do? I have no savings. I get a very small pension which wouldn't pay for even a weeks worth of food. Elon Musk said recently that he felt SSA was a Ponzi scheme. Where he gets that idea I don't know. But then he has Asperger's Syndrome and most things probably seem odd to him out there in the normal world.
It seems that at this point the American experiment that was Democracy has failed. Whether it can be revived or not remains to be seen. Trump has a lot of power and it will take more that a few Democrats that act like they are doing the Rip Van Winkle sleep to get us out of the death spiral we are in now. And Jeffries had me feeling better for a day or two. The way they acted during the address was depressing.
But I will not thumb down. I still believe and I hope that the demos can pull something out of the magician's hat to bring America back on track. Let's keep the hope alive, shall we?
Have a nice weekend.

This isn't the first time that we've had massive SSA layoffs. It has never delayed payments before. I've paid off my house, so I'm not worried about making a mortage payment. And, I am making money on side hussles so I'll be okay.

Hopefully it won't. But you know me. I have to have something to worry about.
I used to have a few side hustles but no more. I will just have to hope my creditors understand. Hopefully, it won't happen.

He does have Asperger's, doesn't he? Someone on here claimed it was only speculation while another member on here claimed that he does have it.

So many people that voted for him are starting to feel it. Many that have been laid off have admitted to voting for him. Guess they thought that protected them

Yes, indeed. I feel for them. They should have listened.

He has Asperger's and that makes him unable to be social or communicate affectively. He just isn't thinking normally.

I'm glad you're feeling better. I hope your son's SSA hearing went well. Elon Musk leaves much to be desired. Have a good day.
