In his Hate & Lie speech to Congress, trump (a convicted felon and insurrectionist) claimed the auto manufacturer, Honda, committed to build a new auto plan in Indiana thanks to his policies to prevent investments in Mexico with cheers from Republicans in the House and the 2 bobbleheads behind him smiling broadly with satisfaction and pride. However, Honda quickly fact-checked the president’s claim, making it clear that no such announcement had been made. In a public statement, Honda firmly denied trump’s (a legally confirmed sex predator) assertion, emphasizing that its existing Indiana facility has been operational since 2008. The company confirmed it has no plans nor announcements about any new plant investments and has not been in discussions with government officials in Indiana or with trump himself.
