Wow Trump's administration is stupid / myLot

Not that I am surprised by that. In his mission to abolish DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) from the government they are now removing images of black people, women, and gay people who were on their web sites. The kicker is that they removed images and mention of an Army Air Corps plane called "Enola Gay". Um that was the freaking plane that dropped the bomb on Hiroshima in Japan to end World War 2. The plane was named after the pilot's mother who was NOT gay. That simply was her name. But sure MAGA and Trump. Dismantle the Department of Education and do your thing. Increase the red state ignorance. Ban the mention of the Enola Gay. Hey we are headed for WW3 anyway so they can learn what plane drops a nuclear bomb then. Idiots!

News are not only bad but weird. One day there are taxes, the next day the taxes dates are changed. The authorities from Europe and China are pissed with reason.

I am pretty positive some of the things that are happening (I do not mean eliminating DEI, necessarily) like cutting waste are good, but it is hard for me to see anything good or positive when something ignorant like this, concerning the Enola Gay is taking center stage. Anything good or positive for me is obliterated by the things that are making our country a laughing stock.

Diversity, equity and inclusion are stupid. People should be hired because they are QUALIFIED. Not because they check a certain box. Period. I imagine if you would have been passed over getting hired on as a teacher because a black person was needed to check off a box you'd have a different opinion on the matter. "Sorry, you needed to be black, gay or transgender. We understand you have more qualifications, but we have to consider other factors and therefore, we cannot hire you. Good luck." As for the rest of it, what needs to be emphasized is that we are all ONE America and ONE people, and we have to end the ignorance of screaming for equality while at the same time identifying differences. How many times might a black person remind me they are black? Constantly. Yet at the same time demand to be considered equal. Perhaps the key to making me see someone as equal is to STOP reminding me you are different than me.

I was talking to my work BFF about this yesterday. An assistant principal has to take family leave. People who have the qualifications and interest help with administrative duties. Last year a woman left and this year a bilingual woman filled the spot. In the hierarchy of who is in line for administration there are 2 women. Ya know who they chose? A man who hasn't even completed his masters degree in administration. That's where I think DEI is important. Out of 5 principal positions in the building there is only one woman? And they chose a person who isn't even certified to fill in for one of the men when there are 2 fully qualified women?

@NJChicaa Because your side is AGAINST America and shows this attitude all the time. Your side does not respect America nor it's core values and wants to CHANGE what America is. That's NOT a united stance. Your side wants to pit everyone against everyone. Have the rich hate the poor. Have the gays hate the straights and the straights hate the gays. On your side, everyone is a victim, America is a horrible, unfair and unjust place, and hatred is the game of the day. Liberals spend their entire existence yelling at people and accusing them of this thing, that thing and the other, and encouraging people to rally against people instead of band together as one.

Because if Ukraine falls then Putin will go into other countries who used to be part of the USSR that are now part of NATO. Article 5 requires the US to defend them. WW3.
