When will trump's government investigate how much government funding has been burned up on Musk's incompetence and apathy? Meanwhile air traffic is halted during the explosion due to the indifference and recklessness of Space X.
It seems when it comes to Elon's failures, government spending has no limits as long as Elon is having fun. When it comes to Veterans Affairs, Social Security, healthcare, social aid, and education only a chainsaw, described as a scalpel, will do to eliminate expense.
Even "the red hats" can see through this scam... if they want to.

Musk has enough money to have fun for the rest of his life. He should not have been given so much power.

Most of his money comes from government subsidies that he wants to cut for anyone else. The only thing left for him now is power. Without that, all he has is 14 kids from 4 different (unmarried) women and the capability to blow up rockets.

You should already know the answer to this considering MOST of any government awards or contracts were a result of the Green New Deal of YOUR party. It's over $18 billion over the past decade, awarded through bills passed by Democrat ruled Congress' and via EO by Joe Biden.
Want to know what they were thinking? Go ask the people you voted for. THEY gave it to him.

If you were allowed to believe what you can read and see for yourself, you would know most of Crazy-Elon's contract were under review for malfeasance and those investigations have... you guessed it... been stopped because... you guessed it... Elon eliminated the jobs of the people doing the investigations.
No one can ask what "they" were thinking because their jobs, that included investigating Crazy-Elon's taxpayer money-grab, can no longer be found. If you know where they are, you might want to let Crazy-Elon know because the word on the street is he is trying to hire some of them back because, who knew, some of their jobs were vital.
