Happy woman´s day. Or is it?

I just read that the UN says that every 10 minutes a woman is killed either by their husbands or by someone from their family. OMG!!! Every March on this date we see vendors on the streets selling red roses. They are meant for bosses who buy a rose on this day to give to their hard working woman secretaries. The rest of the year they bully them and the women have nothing to say. PLUS they are paid less than the men with the same kind of work. In my country, thanks be given, there is a big politician in jail because his secretary accused him (and could prove it) that he drugged her and raped her later. I don´t think that he´ll stay forever in jail. He´ll find a way to get away with what he did. And this happens everywhere. I´m innocent anyway and in spite of everything I still hope that things will get better by and by. In the US there has been a mayor setback for the rights of many people lately. I´m sorry for all minorities there including the race that was there before the Caucasians took over the country. I wrote a post days ago about my encounter in the US with an old Native American who did not speak English. His people were there before the country acquired its name. We talked with him in sign language (it is the same everywhere) and took him to where he was going so that he did not have to walk 3 hills. What do you think about all this?

There are also men who blame women for staying in abusive relationships, so there's that. They don't understand that it's not easy to leave because they can get killed in the process.

They can get killed and they have nowhere to go. Both of my daughters had abusive relationships. Fortunatly for them (but it is not usual) both had good jobs and the house where they lived was theirs. So The abusive relation had to go. I still remember that Tania had to ask Claudia to help her. Claudia is a judge so she can get cops to help her. She went to Tania´s house and changed every single key in the house.

@marguicha I am so sorry for what your daughters went through. I'm glad they made it out alive. I wrote a post about a toxic relationship I witnessed and a member blamed the woman. I deleted the comment and will not be interacting with that user ever again. This is the last straw. I am done.

@lilacskies Many people blame the women saying that "they are asking for it". I´d put those people in jail for a couple of days just for saying that.

I am glad women are not paid less in the fields my friends and I are in. Yes, we have had setbacks in the US recently.

I´m very worried about your country. Trump has the power to do many wrong things in 4 years.

@marguicha I don't think he will last four years. His decline is pretty rapid at this point. I think he may have had a stroke near his Broca's area (the part of his brain involved in speech production), or perhaps a series of mini-strokes.

It's sad that whites think they are superior. Especially when it is actually a mutation.

The only people that are not superior (to my knowledge) are evil people. They lack something that is very important.

The first time I even heard about Women's Day was when I moved to Latvia. The women there all band together/ I was among the luck to meet my soul mate and had a husband who loved me till the end,

When you tell about your late husband I always remember my late husband too. He was generous and loving. I was lucky.

I'm not really in favour of these 'days' as it's mostly pretty hypocritical.

The irony of celebrating a single Women's Day is not lost on me. While some men single-handedly demonize the image of all men, others, including some who falsely claim to be feminists, harm the movement's credibility, as seen with some women being blatant gold diggers. There are miscreants everywhere- pertaining to both genders.

Although I don´t think that only man do bad things, I think that in numbers they do more for the moment.
