One of Vince’s brothers will be buried in a country town on Monday. He spent some years in the town working as Clerk of Courts and his wife is buried there. His son still lives there in the family home.
We’ll be taking our motor-home but wanted to leave it somewhere once we arrive. We can go to the church, cemetery and wake with another brother.
We rang the caravan park which is run by the shire council (our shires are like counties I guess) to see if we could leave the vehicle there early. We’ll stay the night there but check-in isn’t usually till 2pm. Vince mentioned that we were going there for a funeral and the woman’s asked was it for Danny Evans. It seems he hasn’t been forgotten in the town despite having been away for so long.
The town, Wagin, is known for its sculpture of a big ram, hence the photo, courtesy of Nachoman-au, Wikimedia.

The Big ram is quite a sight!
I suppose that in smaller cities and towns, people to people connections still matter.
One would not find such experiences in a bigger city like Melbourne, Sydney, Delhi etc.
So would you park your Motor Home in a common parking area?

It is such a nice feeling when someone is remembered despite having been away for long . I got that feeling too when my doctor who treated me when I had that accident remebered me when I wanted an appointment with him. Just my name and he remembered and that after 19 years.
Hope your motor home issue is sorted out

Your account sounds like a narrative from a book. I am sorry for your loss.
