When you see a South Korean series on Netflix, you know it's going to be brutal:)

But i didn't watch it on netflix and brutal in good, thrilling way as well. Without much violence but still edgy. So, The Trunk series from 2024. I love the main actor and watched several series with him already so he was a big reason to watch this series. The plot, other actors, less episodes that usual Korean series (8 in total but still 1 hour long) were the reason i didn't skip episodes and that i looked forward to every episode, wondering what will happen next. Some scenes were predictable but still good explained and some left us, viewers hanging. Series starts with finding a dead body in the lake along with the trunk. Then we hear about special marriage agency that sends rich people new husband or wife in their homes (they are not packed, don't worry). Contract is only for a year, can be extended and there is even a manual. We can see a normal couple giving up from their marriage and woman setting this kind of agency marriage for her husband and also involving herself into one. Then, these fake spouses who feel they are just employees yet have their stories too. Some stalker is involved. Violence is not that present in the series except some short scene of stabbing, a scene of women fighting, more pulling their hairs, pushing and splapping and that's all. I like the main female lead. Her voice is one of the reasons that series was exciting cause, she has very smooth voice. Series has only one season. Since it was produced on Netflix, i thought this will have another season but i think the ending is final. A little bit vague but final like, what is else to say. If you decide to watch it, enjoy!

Gong Yoo. he's really handsome. i often find videos of him, questioning why he's not married yet. well, maybe he's in love with himself as well. i mean, look at him

I probably would like the show but I have a hard time reading the subtitles which ruins the show for me.

you are right about that, sadly. subtitles are always tiny. i watch series mostly on my lap, which is not recommendable, i know.
