Doing Some Volunteer Work Today

Every Spring I get asked top judge some submissions to a contest and this year they gave me 8 submissions to judge in the category of "Leadership." I have two Masters degrees in Leadership and I was a business leader for two decades, so I feel qualified to judge the submissions. These are chapters of a national group who focuses on Communities such as Property Management, Homeowners Associations, etc. They are all across the USA. There are 9 other categories they compete in and several other judges. I enjoy reading what new and exciting educational and leadership programs they developed and the results they achieved. Do you do any volunteer work?

It is something I have thought about, but I always end up being busy. Strange that!

Not now, but I have in the past. Last time I was volunteering it ended up being frustrating so I quit.

I know it can be rewarding for some people, but it's just not for me.

sounds like a great opportunity, and with your background, you’re definitely well-qualified to judge

I have never volunteered. My time is valuable. I don't do anything without being paid.
