Hubby’s Birthday Dinner

It was hubby’s birthday today so we went out with our parents, his grandma, and his cousin to a Turkish restaurant near us. The food was really good and so was the atmosphere. For a party of nine people we ended up spending under $400. We thought it would be way more.
Service was good to some degree, however, there were some issues. They charged us for some things we ordered but never brought them so we had to take that off the bill. One entree we ordered they never even had it in the order so we had to order it again. And a few meat dishes that we ordered two of each they brought only one of each. Turned out they had it written down as one of each to begin with.
We’ve been to this place before and never had any problems. Perhaps they had an off night. I wouldn’t give them a 20% tip but I think hubby did anyway.

I hope you all enjoyed the meal, even with the snafus that happened. Happy birthday to your hubby.

Thank you. We did! Definitely beats eating at home.

@lovebuglena You're very welcome.
I like eating at home. Eating out once in a while is nice, too, though.

@DaddyEvil It’s great to go out on your birthday. Don’t have to cook or clean. You’re being taken care of and can relax and enjoy yourself.

Everyone can have an off night. If he had a good time, that's the important take away.

He did! I’m glad he asked me to come with him when it was time to pay the bill. Don’t want to pay for something we never got.

I am sorry to read about your experience there. And I know this type of place, it is hard to argue with them and get it right.
Happy Birthday to your dear Husband.

To me, this sounds like a disaster. One mistake after another. But yeah, maybe just an off night. The tip would have been nominal for me.
At least you still sound like you had a good time and that's what matters the most, and on top of that they did make some corrections.

Hubby’s mom came near us when we were looking over the bill. I asked her if they had cheesecake on their side of the table as I didn’t see it on mine. She said no. She wanted us to forget about it and just pay for it. No way! I was not gonna pay for something they never brought. So I went with hubby to the waiter and had the cheesecake taken off the bill.
It wasn’t a total disaster lol. However, I do wish those mishaps didn’t happen. I was lucky hubby got his dad to give me a lamb chop. I was really looking forward to it. I don’t get why hubby just didn’t order another portion.
