I ordered a book last night by one of my favorite authors. She is Sophie Kinsella aka Madeline Wickham of the Shopaholic series as well as other novels like The Undomestic Goddess etc. She has a lovely, sunny optimistic personality with a beautiful heart which shines through in her works. They are also hysterically funny. Anyway, tragically She was diagnosed with a grade 4 Glioblastoma last year which is a terminal diagnosis. She had already survived over 2 years with this when the average survival rate is 14 months . Say a prayer for this remarkable woman and mother of 5 that she will be the exception to the rule and will survive until a cure is found. Anyway, her new book is How Does It Feel? It talks about her diagnosis and treatment as well as her family, and how they are coping.

That's so sad to hear. I'm familiar with her books but didn't know about her diagnosis.

Yeah, I happened to look her up at one point. Actually, I am a fan on FB, and I found out about six or 9 months ago. I looked to see how she was doing, and I found out about the book. God Bless her, really!

@lilacskies She's just trying to survive, like we all would be under those circumstances.

Yes, I am sure it was one day at a time. She is more well now than after her surgery..Of course it must be terrifying to get those scans.
