Have you cleaned your mouse lately

The internet boys have been mucking about with the lines all last week, looking for the break, so my connection has been coming and going sporadically. Just a while ago, it went out again, so I decided to clean my mouse.
It gets a bit grubby on the outside from time to time but the scroll button got clogged to the point where it didn't work anymore. Oh, I could click on the side bar and move things up and down that way, but too often that would cause the page to shrink.
So during the latest interruption I took my mouse apart and took a sharp point along the sides of the scroll button. You wouldn't believe how big those dust bunnies were. (FYI, dust bunnies don't just hide under furniture.) And now that service is back, so is the scroll button.

I haven’t used a mouse in eons. I remember those days of cleaning the mouse ball every week, though.

I find I have better control with the mouse than I do when I try to use the touch pad on my laptop. And this is an optical mouse, no roller ball in it.

@BarBaraPrz — back in the Stone Age of mouse balls, they said the most commonly stolen item in a library was the mouse ball.

I find it easier to operate than the touch pad.

Glad that everything is working good again and that your mouse is ready for action!
