I watched The Girl who Killed Her Parents. It's on Prime. It's based on a true crime that happened in Brazil. It has Carla Diaz, Leonardo Bittencourt, Vera Zimmermann, Augusto Madeira, Leonardo Medeiros, Debora Duboc, and Kauan Ceglio in it. Big Warning: there is violence. Semi Spoiler Below. The crime happened October 31, 2002. Suzane, her mother and brother was in the park. They see a man flying a model plane. Her mother asks the man if he is interested to teach Suzane's brother because he is interested in learning. The man's name is Daniel. Suzane thinks he is cute and they start dating. Their parents are fine with it. Daniel has a brother named Christian. In the movie, Suzane convinces Daniel to smoke pot and she tells him that she is not a virgin. Later on she tells him that her father abused her. (But on wikipedia, it says she was a virgin and it says nothing about her father abusing her.) Later on Suzane convinces Daniel and his brother to kill her parents. Daniel and Suzane get 39 years and Christian gets 38 for the crime. Side note: I read on Wikipedia that the relationship didn't last long. She stops writing him and he thinks she is afraid of him. I sorta liked this movie. I'm watching The Boy who killed my Parents. It's based on the same crime, but a different point of view.

Brazil has a lot of violent crimes. Apparently, it's the murder capital of the world.

There seem to be a lot of those movies around. I wonder how often it actually happens?
