Update on My New House

Khokon, the manager of my material supplier said to me, "You're taking too long to build your house. When are going to live in it ?" A valid question but surely he knows building a house is not a short time affair especially for a person of low income like me. I got the foundation of the house laid in January 2022. It's March of 2025 and I suppose I might need one more year before I can hope to live in the house . I wish to give the house a coat of cement paint soon as April might bring the first showers of rain . That's the month when rainy storms begin to hit our state, though the real rainy season arrives anytime in the last last week of June. A voice inside me whispered, " The joy is in the little steps you're taking in building the house. It will only culminate when it will be ready for you to live in it." Today, I went to the site to keep two sacks of stone chips in a safe place. They were lying scattered outside beside the public path . I agree with the voice because I did feel a joy after completing the piece of work.
