I enjoy reading and watching documentaries about strong and intelligent women. Especially those who live in the past. Cleopatra is quite a mystery because her body has never been found and so there is no way of knowing what she looked like. But here are some interesting facts I found about her: * Cleopatra knew 7 languages. Some of them were: Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, Ethiopian, Arabian, and others. * She had an excellent education and was good in math and science. She was fascinated with science and even delved into alchemy. She is credited with making contributions in medicine as well as cosmetics. * She is credited with pioneering many beauty treatments including the use of essential oils, facial masks, and perfumes. She was interested in health and wellness. * It is well known that Cleopatra snuck a snake into her room and took her own life. Modern historians have raised questions about the ASP theory. This type of snake is large and not easy to conceal. Also, their venom does not work instantaneously. More likely she used poison. This was something she was familiar with.
