They had a coffee drink truck at the school to fundraise for the theater project. Fine. Cool.
I received a text from a former student who has my # (exclusive) saying he had a dream that Charles Darwin said I would show up at the coffee truck. I was like "nope gotta get back to the apartment for tutoring".
He is quite a trip. He is transgender which doesn't upset me. Every time we had a test or quiz he would bring one of those Mexican religious candles and put it on his desk. He's been here for dinner or just to deliver empanadas.
He now says that he has to get Gregor Mendel's input.

Interesting fundraiser. When I was in grade 12 my school had a smash-a-thon. They got an old car that didn't work, and charged people a dollar to take a swing at it. I can't remember what it was for or how much they made and I didn't stick around to see the result.
