Again statues ...costs, taxpayers and dogs

Of late, I have been reading a lot about rabies in India. And we have the largest number of strays. And many are not neutered and spayed. And governments compete with each other to build statues instead of spaying and neutering these strays so that they do not get rabies. And governments require applications for research to control or cure rabies. These applications usually don't get approved. The other day I saw two statues in our otherwise beautiful part of the city. Both were looking ugly. One, former Prime Minister, the other a leader... Both had plenty of bird poop on them...were too tall for regular cleaning. How come such statues do not require applications and control by Comptroller and Auditor General, while people die on streets being bitten by rabid dogs? I am just a venting machine today... I feel rich politicos cannot understand the importance of smaller sums of money.

In a city with a large stray population and rabies, that should be an issue of major importance. Who needs more statues? Hope you have a good day.

They should be trying to control the stray animals first
