When the weather is a bit cool the potatoes in storage start sprouting I have no ouse for those sprouts I will pull them out and then use the potatoes. Once I planted those sprouts and they grew into healthy plants but a heavy shower destroyed them all Wonder one can produce potatoes planting sprouts. Have you? Image credit:

Dad used to cut the potatoes into chunks with a sprout coming out of each chunk and planted the entire chunk. That's how we grew the potatoes for our family.

i have no knowledge on potatoes grown in garden. Whether the sprouted ones will adjust to the soil is a question

They did accept the soil and grew into plants but heavy rain destroyed them.
