Tomorrow is Holi; the festival of colors. All schools; offices and markets will remain closed in the daytime. In the evening some of them will open; but offices will remain closed. Holi is,among the festivals close to my heart. I'll be celebrating Holi with my friends in the daytime. I enjoy spraying colors on others and get sprayed colors on me. We smear colors on each others' face. Finally we get snacks prepared by cooks hired by us.We enjoy the snacks on the road; because there is almost no traffic on the road. Holi is the festival of love and affection. Happy Holi to all.

Happy Holi my friend. I talked with my Indian brother this morning, wishing him a Happy Holi and just catching up with each other in general. We had a good visit. We also teased each other. He showed me a picture of him and three of his male friends eating in a restaurant. My brother was sitting at the back of the table almost hidden from view by the dim lights in the restaurant. I asked why he was hiding and he claimed the waiter took the picture for him... I teased that the waiter took the picture to show off my brother's ugly friends. (Even Pretty looked at the photo and asked if her uncle had any good looking friends to take a picture with. ) My brother didn't think we were as funny as we thought we were.

Happy Holi ; my friend; to you and all your friends and family. From here we You all are really so funny. If you come to our country now; you would hardly recognize anybody. Everyone's face is smeared with different colors. Even we had to stare at them to know who he is.. My father had to ask my friend where I am. I was, just behind my friend. After enjoying Holi we went to the river 10 kms from here to wash our faces and have a bath. I'm just back home tired. Today I would have a nap in the noon. In the evening we will go to each others' house to enjoy the, festival with our elders. We,don't smear colors on their faces,or spray colors on them. We just put a pinch of colors on their feet and they bless us. This is the way to enjoy Holi with our parents and other elders. I hope you understand.

@Shivram59 That's so funny your dad didn't even recognize you! You bathed in the holy river? Do I understand correctly? Yes, I think I understand. Your elders would punish you if you got colors on their faces. I'm glad they enjoy the holiday, too. It all sounds so fun! My brother has invited me to visit and enjoy the holiday with him. I wish I could afford to do that.

@DaddyEvil No. It is a ordinary river; not a holy one. My town is located near it. None,of us friends has the " courage" to smear colors on his father's face. We can't be,so informal to our, parents. It's our Hindu culture. We just put a pinch of colors on their feet. It's a symbolic gesture to show respect. Have you told your friend you are unable to go him??
