My Therpist 'Mis' Scheduled Me

Yeah she did. I insist. I know I am stressed but I also wrote it down and I am meticulous with that at least. I know I had a 9AM appointment with her yesterday and I walked there to attend. But no when I got there, the receptionist said she had someone else in her office. Then the receptionist told me she had an opening at 11AM..I said no..and walked back home..too tired for that. My therapist is in her late 70s and was born in the Soviet Union. Maybe she is stressed too.

Anything is possible... I've had two doctor appointments lately that they send me "reminders" for before I went but when I got there they tried to tell me I was late until I pulled my phone out and showed them the reminders they'd sent me. They apologized but couldn't see me at the scheduled time. Apparently, they'd overbooked and everybody showed up. That is so annoying!

It's surely annoying. What can you do except waiting patiently in such situations. You need the doctors, not the other way around.

@franxav Yes, that's true. It's also true that I can find a new doctor if it happens too often.

That happened to us with a meeting appointment we were supposed to have with my son's potential orthodontist. Hubby even took the day off for it. When we got there, they said we were not scheduled - not showing up in their system. Well I had proof . . . 3 months before when I made the appointment, the receptionist wrote it down on a schedule card - I showed them that. They apologized and said they would take us in this time only because I had that card .

It must have upset you no doubt but as you have pointed out the Therapist is old and things like this can happen.

Oh no, I know that was frustrating, but at least on the bright side you got some exercise and walking is a good stress reliever.

That certainly is frustrating but I can certainly understand you not wanting to walk back there again at 11am.

You are right. Maybe she is stressed too. I hope you can see her soon. I am having trouble with contacting my therapist. I want to see her again, but she has moved on from solo therapy to group therapy which means I may have to seek a new one. I wanted to go back to therapy again now that I can afford it. I'm stressed myself.

That is frustrating. They are probably overbooked. Will you see her again?
