Thank goodness the remote still works

So, yesterday's mess was the fact that I accidentally dropped the remote into a partial cup of coffee. This was actually last night. It was actually dripping wet with liquid coming out of the bottom of it. I thought oh no this thing is toast, at the least I thought I would have to change the batteries. Knock on wood, after everything dripped out and I dried it the best I could..it continued to work, and I thought wow I hope it is still working in the AM and it is. I had it straight up and down in a warm chair pocket. It worked just fine this AM so yay! Did you ever get your remote wet? Pic is of a coffee cup since my remote pics wouldn't show up.

I'm glad it works fine now. I don't use remotes anymore. I watch movies and shows on my computer, not television.

Good it works. I sometimes drop the remote and thoughts about it not working start to emerge but work it does luckily

If this one falls on the floor, sometimes the back will fall off and I have to re insert the batteries. I keep telling myself I need to put a piece of tape on it, but I haven't done it.

Accidents happen, and sometimes we have no control over them. But thankfully, it's still working after what happened! I just hope it lasts because, based on my experience, once a remote gets soaked and starts working again, it’s never quite the same as before.

We will see. Even if it starts screwing up, I have other batteries for it.

@snowy22315 It's nice that you have a backup! Hopefully, it keeps working fine.
