I kill one I kill ten, I am hanged only once

Something is wrong with the punishments. If they are actually encouraging a person to commit multiple crimes. And some of the punishments of long sentences........if the person is old, and not likely to suffer even one tenth of it...? Has justice been served? If a person kills one/ rapes one.....take out one eye and one leg...make him or her incapable of another crime....don't fill the prisons....in case of multiple crime...there are more organs to lose... Dying is actually relief...suffering for lifetime as a maimed person....can give enough time to regret the crimes... Yeah...I am nasty... I came across this news...a UK lady allegedly raped... If Indian lawmakers are incapable of drafting seriously deterrent laws, then they all actually would commit those crimes or their loved ones would...they are just creating loopholes for escape in future.

In this case, vanny, there is a flaw in your thinking. Something like that might work in another country but it won't work in the US. If the person is maimed, then they can claim disability and are paid by the government... You would only give them a lifetime of payments at the taxpayers' expense as well as free food for life. How would that be a punishment or deterrent?

I once thought that if a person who wanted to commit a crime knew that once caught they would get the same meaning if they shot someone they would be shot right away then people would think twice about committing crimes but I don't think that would happen anyway,

But if a person rapes many and kills them, like in the case of Ted Bundy, how do you get him raped that many times, and kill him that many times?

@vandana7 of couse you have a point but then I guess one refers to the killings and how many. There have been killers in prison stabbed as many times as many as he killed.
