Sometimes I check out sports action from a good enough past. So it was time to check Cricket match action from a 1985 World Series Cup (WSC) match between West Indies and Australia. This match was in the One day format. Young Craig McDermott had taken a wicket and was bowling marvelously. He was taking on the West Indian batting giant Vivian Richards, who with his natural flair and attacking game often single handedly won many matches against opposition. Yet initially, Viv Richards as he is more fondly called struggled. Later he plays some great shots against the bowler. A sporting encounter worth watching. I remember matches between Ivan Lendl and others like Boris Becker/Mats Wilander/Andre Agassi used to be quite intense!
