On Investment

I would say in my own personal experience, people usually are afraid of investing or that they don't want to spend money on this. But the irony is that, we want to earn a lot but don't want to invest much. What we don't is that the more we risk money on investments, the greater the chances that we get many returns of investment.
I'll give you one good example. I have invested so much on getting in shape and people see results. Then, they ask me what I did and what's my secret. I disclose my secret ingredients, but they just shrug their shoulders. They wanted to achieve what I have but never willing to spend money. Voila!
What are your thoughts?

That investment, in my opinion, consists of putting some hard-earned cash to work for you in the future. This is the reason I always advocate "investing what you can afford to lose." If you can afford to lose, you can take the risks because there is no guarantee that an investment is risk-free; there will always be some winners and some losers.

@Neil43 Indeed, I have discovered that investing is purely psychological in nature, and that you must approach them with a plan. It would not be very difficult for you to lose money if you invested only what you could afford to lose, and you could easily use the loss as a lesson to avoid it in the future.

Bottom line -- many people don't want to spend the money or put in the effort.

We as humans, want the instant gratification. So, waiting or putting in effort becomes difficult for many.
