Floaters, does anyone experienced this too?

A couple of weeks ago, I was having problems with my right eye. I noticed something floating in my vision and found out that these were floaters, likely caused by bright light from my work. After a few weeks, it started getting better, and the floaters became less visible, though they still affect my vision but not as much as before. Has anyone else experienced this and recovered? What did you do?

Yes, floaters are quite common in middle/older age. Like anyone else, it worried me when I first saw one, but the doctor said they’re extremely common.

Are you still experiencing these floaters? What I mean is something that's visible?

@tech40 — yes, but I’m so used to them after 20-plus years that I don’t even pay attention to them.

Did you "habituate" to them over time?

I have. My eye Dr. said they're a Part of "getting old." I still see mine from time to time. But I have basically "habituated" to them.

@TheHorse Do you still have blurry vision due to the floaters, or is your vision back to being as clear as before?

I have so many floaters it’s not funny. Mine were caused by a stupid doctor during eye surgery. I have so many sometimes it’s like spiders are crawling over my eye balls.

@tech40 If I wanted mine gone, I’d have to have a laser remove them. But lasers around your eyes are dangerous, and things can easily go wrong. I was told if I can manage to live with it I should due to safety concerns.

@AmbiePam I've heard that this type of surgery is very risky and can cause permanent damage if a mistake is made. So scary

@tech40 You do not have to do anything. But I keep a cold compress and am not sure if that helps or it goeos away with time.

Yes, I do, all the time. My doctor said mine were caused by me rubbing my eyes when they're really dry so prescribed medicated eye drops to help with the dryness. I don't notice them as often now, but once in a while I'll see a really large floater that bugs me for a few days before I stop noticing it.

I gather we all have them, but get used to them and don't notice them except under certain conditions

Do you take any vitamins to help with your floaters?
