Every country or region has some cultural inclinations which make it unique. Whether it is out of culture or availability of food, some foods standout from others and become part or whole of a day’s important meal such as lunch or dinner. In kenya, our stapple food is called Ugali, which is usually prepared by adding maize, sorghum, cassava or millet flour to boiling water then stirring as you add more until it becomes a soft-cake-like mixture. It is served with veggies, meat, fish, chicken or even milk. This food is consumed on daily basis in almost every household in Kenya.
Ever heard of or, ever eaten Ugali? How did you find it? What is your country’s stapple food?

No, but thanks for the info. Not sure if the US has a staple food, but if we did it would probably be chicken or hamburgers.

That is great. But I think each state has a peculiar type of food

Here in Kenya rice is common too, but the most preferred in most households is Ugali. Rice is just for occasions like weddings

Potatoes, especially irish potatoes are also common here especially during special occasions, Irish potatoes are however commonly used to make french fries and crisps here

I haven't heard of this but it sounds nutritious. Australia has such a mix of nationalities that I don't think we have a staple food. When I was young it was probably a meal of meat and three vegetables. lol
